What to Study: What is in situ conservation, and how does it differ from ex situ conservation? Understand why protecting a whole forest to save the tiger is an in situ approach. Be able to tell in situ sites from ex situ sites (for example, national parks versus botanical gardens).
What to Study: Which law protects reserved and protected forests, and which authority declares them? Understand how rights such as grazing and hunting differ between the two categories.
